An innovative method for soot deposit quantification using a CO2 sensor: Application to fire studies in research facilities

In industrial facilities handling or manufacturing hazardous materials, fires are one of the major hazards. Therefore, it is important to have tools better understand transport and deposition phenomenon emitted particles in order take into account their consequences on safety devices. For this purpose due lack quantitative soot data under realistic fire conditions, an innovative method for quantification experimental devoted research has been developed. This based gases during regeneration a resistive sensor surface higher detection limit than electrical conductance previously proposed validated by ( Kort et al., 2021 ).
